School Trips 2006 - 2007

Dhahran British Grammar School has developed a tradition of exciting school trips and expeditions. In recent years we have been to China, Vietnam, the Indian Himalaya, and Borneo.

In 2006-7 a record number of students travelled abroad with the school. Groups visited France and went on expeditions to Oman and China.

China Climb Expedition

Thirty seven students in years 7 to 11 took part in this exciting expedtiion which involved trekking, rock climbing, Tyrollean traverses, abseilling, mountain biking, walking, swimming and caving in the South of China. It was a long trip, departing 22 March and returning 7 April 2007. It is open to students from years 7 to 11.

The cost of the trip was only SR11000, and was payable in four installments. Read more details about the trip here.

The French Trip

Key Stage 4 Team Building

We held a two day team building event in Jubail in September. This event was very successful and we are keen to repeat it next year. The trip is an integral part of the of the KS4 curriculum, with all Year 10 and 11 students expected to participate.

Borneo Adventure 2006

In March 2006 students and staff from Dhahran British Grammar School embarked on the school's fourth major overseas expedition. Sixteen students, aged between 11 and 15 headed for Borneo to climb the amazing limestone Pinnacles of Sarawak and Mount Kinabalu, which at 4095m, is the highest peak between the Himalayas and Papua New Guinea.
