I attended DBGS from September 2001 to June 2004
I'm currently taking a BA (Hons) degree in Animation Production at The Arts Institute in Bournemouth, and I'm LOVING it. I didn't get a very good grade for my GCSE maths because I didn't concentrate and doodled weird little characters all through Mrs Chambers' lessons, but it payed off!
I'm currently living with my boyfriend, who is an Architectural Assistant on his placement year (before he begins his MA in Architecture) in Poole and I spend most of my spare time drawing or BMXing around Bournemouth.
After leaving DBGS I moved to Qatar and started singing for a band (who are extremely well known in Doha) and we were the opening act for Bryan Adams in February of 2006. It was an amazing experience, and I got to sing in front of 10,000 people, most of which had been to (and hopefully enjoyed!) many of our gigs beforehand.
I achieved 3 A's at A-Level in Art, Photography and Performing Arts, before finally managing to escape the clutches of the Middle East for good, and here I am, back in the good old United Kingdom, at my first choice university. YAY!
I'm hoping to work in Character Design for Animation in the future, for a company such as Aardman in Bristol (the creators of Wallace and Gromit + Chicken Run) or Disney Animation Studios.
I hope that the rest of the DBGS Alumni are having a great time out in the big wide world, and in my opinion, a reunion is sorely needed!
Love and best wishes to all!
I'm Rebecca Davies I attended DBGS from 2002-2004.
I left after my GCSE'S to attend Derby college where I spent 2 years doing A'levels and being elected as an Executive Committee Member of the Students' Union. After finishing college I had a year as a Sabbatical President of Derby College Students' Union. During this sabbatical year I also ran for a position with in the National Union of Students.
I am now in the first year reading Politics and Sociology at Sheffield Hallam University, I work part time as a banqueting waitress, and am also once more heavily involved in the Students' Union.
In the future I hope to go into working in Politics, I have yet to decide where I want to go, but I know I definitely want to have been an MP by the the time I'm 50.
My special memory of school is when it rained so hard I was stuck in the library as it was like a river outside, although I would have preferred to be stuck in the coffee shop. Also when Mr Hardcastle was trying to teach the class what contours were and he stood on the desk drawing on his legs.
If you wish to contact me I'm available on Facebook. Also by e-mail: (hellsangelbex@hotmail.com)
I was a student at DBGS from 2002 to 2004. My class was small and friendly, and since moving to England for sixth form, I have looked back on my years at DBGS and realised how lucky I am to have spent that time with a class in which there were no social groups or divides, but where the whole year just got on together. The friends I made at DBGS are now some of my oldest and best friends, and I even still keep in touch with some of my old teachers!
I’m now in Liverpool, half way in to my first year of university where I’m studying media. Rather than taking this course with a particular career path in mind, I chose
it simply because I wanted to learn more about the subject. My plans for the future are pretty hazy at the moment, all I know for sure is that I want to be living in a warmer country, but who knows what the future holds.
Thanks very much to everyone at DBGS!
Victor Gould.
Simone MaggiI have attented DBGS from 1992 to 2004.
I am now living in the UK in Surrey, but my family is living in Bahrain
I am currently studying in Royal Holloway, University of London
I am doing a degree in Media Arts
My plans for the future are to do a Masters and then persue a career in the Media Industry
Believe it or not I still consider Saudi Arabia my home! I hope DBGS is good and that it is still as amazing as it was when I was there, if not more!
I attended DBGS from 1994 to 2004.
I am now studying in Thailand, Pattaya at the Regents International School.
My father owns and runs a boutique hotel and bar, I help out with him.
I am currently studying the International Baccalaureate, doing Higher Level Business and management, History and biology. Also learning Spanish.
I am currently applying to Switzerland, England and maybe the Republic of Ireland to do a course in International Hospitality and Tourism management, or something along them lines.
Attended from 1993 (Reception) To 2004 (Year 11). He now lives in London and is studying at Imperial College School of Medicine. Omair is in the second year of a 6-year medicine degree.
What are your plans for the future?
After I graduate from medical school (seems so far away!) I'll hopefully specialise in a branch of medicine, not quite sure what yet! I want to return to Saudi at some point in the future nonetheless.

My eleven years at DBGS were an unforgettable experience to say the least. I feel I am very lucky to have had the oppurtunity to attend such an ethnically diverse and friendly school. The friends I made there remain some of my closest friends today and will remain so for the rest of my life! From taking part in school productions to getting involved at sports day, I will never forget my time at Dhahran British Grammar School.
I attended DBGS (or as it was then called Dhahran Academy) from the September of 1998, where I was in year 6, to the end of my IGCSE's in 2004. From there I moved to live in Colchester where I attended a sixth form college and chose to take the International Baccalaureatte as an alternative to A-levels and achieved 37 points out of 45.
I now attend the University of Bath and am currently in my second year studying Architecture. I plan to complete the 7 years it takes to become an architect but at present am unsure which university I will complete my studies at.
However in the closer future I intend to go to Europe on an Erasmus exchange as part of the course which I'm extremely excited about! Whilst at uni I try to play a variety of sports, a habbit I picked up whilst attending DBGS, my favourite of which is still kitesurfing.
The best years of my life were spent at this school and I came away with wonderful friends who I still see today, enjoy it loads and loads!!!
Lots of love to all present and past students and teachers of course! 1 November 2007
