Safia Mohamed

SafiaMy name is Safia Mohamed. I attended DBGS from 2004-2006. Currently, I am doing my A-Levels at St. Christophers School in Bahrain. My A-Levels include; Biology,Psychology,Chemistry and Maths. I intend to go onto University to study Medicine or Dentistry.

My years at DBGS were truly memorable. It was not only a place where crucial life changing moment were cherished but also a second home. I had formed close relationships with students and teachers and that is what makes the years I studied there so memorable.

During my time there, elections for Head Girl took place for the very first time. I had the opportunity to serve as Head Girl where I personally organised the setting up of the common room which is now being enjoyed by current students!

Currently, I have gained experience working in various parts of medical and dental clinics, which has given me an insight to a clinicals professionals daily routines. This has inspired me to continue my drive towards a career in related in a medical/dental field.

My extra curricular activities include; soccer ( I was a part of the DBGS soccer team for two consecutive years, where DBGS boys and girls won first place in the first year!)

I have travelled alot in the past two years and this has widened my horizons. I hope to continue to travel throughout university and beyond as I enjoy expieriencing multi cultural backrounds and learning about other cultures. 31 October 2007

I'll be going to an a-level college called Sekolo Sa Borokgo (or just SSB) in Randburg. In my first year I'll take English Language, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and IGCSE French. I will then continue with Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics (if I can handle it) in the next year.

What are you hoping to do in the future?
I have always wanted to become a veterinarian but I would like to work in the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Center in Borneo.

Special memories of the school:
Some of my favorite memories are from the 2006 Borneo Expidition but I think the best are of the year group chilling in joffery's.
