In March 2006 students and staff from Dhahran British Grammar School embarked on the school's fourth major overseas expedition. Sixteen students, aged between 11 and 15 headed for Borneo to climb the amazing limestone Pinnacles of Sarawak and Mount Kinabalu, which at 4095m, is the highest peak between the Himalayas and Papua New Guinea. On this CD you will find an account of their journey and experiences.
Over the course of the journey, Nick Hardcastle kept a personal journal. You can read it here. If you spot any typos please feel free to report them by email.
We asked each of the students to write a short piece about their best memory of the trip. These will be posted shortly.
Eight galleries of photographs can be viewed on the website. A CD-Rom of the expedition is also available and has a slide show version of the photographs, plus higher resolution originals.
Next year, Dhahran British Grammar School will be heading to China. Details will be posted on the school web site early next term.
We hope you enjoy this account of our adventure as much as we enjoyed leading it!
