Mount Everest Base Camp Trek

Gorakshep and Base Camp

Everest Base Camp is not a single location as each expedition that attempts Everest chooses its own location. On this day however, we will visit one of the most used sites. It may be possible for us to see climbers higher on Everest.

We will camp at Gorak Shep, at an altitude of 5288 m. On our way we will see the spectacular Khumbu Glacier and some of the world's highest peaks. The next day we will climb Kala Pattar, the highest point of our trek at 5545 m or 18188 feet.
