Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop CS3 is the most powerful software available for editing and manipulating photographic images. It is an amazing programme. It is available for you to use on several computers at school. This programme is very expensive and you might not be able to buy your own copy. You can download a free trial version though and try it for 30 days.
Older versions of Photoshop are very good too and sometimes can be bought much more cheaply in Al Khobar. Look for Photoshop 6 or 7, CS or CS2.
Photoshop Elements is a cut down version of Photoshop, but stil very good. It can be bought at a fraction of the cost of Photoshop.

Be warned, Photoshop is addictive. You can do lots of things with it apart from editing photographs. Having just read one of the tutorials I wasted half an hour doing this logo. Not quite sure why.
