Joseph Castillejo, Key Stage 1 & 2 Physical Education

My name is Joseph Castillejo, I am 37 years old.

Firstly I would like to extend my gratitude to all teachers, parents and pupils who have made my life changing transition to Saudi Arabia a stress free experience.

My previous teaching experience includes being a Primary Class Teacher and more recently as a School Sports Co-cordinator (SSCO) in London.

As a SSCO I was at the forefront of new Physical Education ideas and concepts and was given the responsibility by the Government to deliver these initiatives.

These initiatives include encouraging PE teachers and Coaches to move from teaching Activity/Sport Specific skills to move towards teaching more Fundamentals Movements Skills such Agility, Co-ordination and Balance.

These skills are the building blocks that underpin the ability to play and enable children to be involved in many different sports and activities which results in Long Term Athletic Development for the individual, which also creates a life long learning attitude towards Sport and Health and Fitness.
