For years, the DBGS School Newsletter has been written and produced by the teachers of this school; promoting student and teacher involvement in key issues and events to be taken place within the school community. However, the newsletter has incorporated more innovative ideas; such as the progression from the paper-based newsletter to the newsletter online. Nevertheless, as a school a great percentage of our population has no interest on what is to be published in the school newsletter unless it involves a picture of them! From today onwards, a small group of enthusiastic students have already begun their quest, in the conveniently named “DBGS School Newsletter Group”. Our aim is to improve the newsletter, make it more appealing to students and parents alike, with greater pupil input.
A school newsletter requires plentiful support by the student body and as a team we humbly ask for your help! We have several ideas, which include a fund-raising column, agony aunt and a cooking section etc. however further support is required. Please email your ideas to the address below. We also require practical help so if you are interested in either journalism, photography or even writing your own column, please contact Sanjana Kumar (11R), Joel Loutfi (11R), Sara Sheikh (11B) or alternatively email us and we’ll get back to you.
Thank you, on behalf of the School Newsletter Team
Sanjana Kumar
