After 4 months of hard work and fun tempered with spells of exasperation and countless trips to the printers ..... 300 copies of Colours of DBGS were finally delivered as scheduled from the printers last week. The Year 11 students were the first to receive their copies after the Leavers Ceremony last Sunday and the rest were distributed across the Key Stages and to staff on Wednesday. The students enjoyed signing their books at the Pizza and Year Book signing second break. The response to the project was positive and we are pleased to inform you that 265 copies have been sold. As with any PVG venture, all profits will be used to further enhance the school facilities for the students.
This is the first time that the Year Book production has been a joint students/parents/staff venture and it has been an extremely valuable experience, especially for the students (and parents!) who learnt so many new skills within such a short time.
The Year Book Committee and Members of the Year Book After School Club would like to extend their thanks to all those who assisted one way or another with the project. Special thanks must be extended to Jacomine
Lemoine who, from the outset believed that this project was possible and spent many hours working with the students and coordinating the project. Celine Lemoine also deserves special mention for her assistance despite being actively involved with many other school projects including studying for her Final Year exams. Our thanks are also extended to our generous sponsors.
On behalf of the Year Book Committee and After School Club we trust that your year book will provide many happy memories both now and in the future. It is our hope that with your assistance and support we will be able to work together again in the new school year to produce the next DBGS Yearbook.
There are a few remaining copies for sale, please contact the school office should you be interested.
